Kinetic bands or K bands were developed by Coach McQueen of Myosource Inc. These resistance basically attach to the thighs with straps and changeable resistance bands. Placing these bands on your legs adds resistance for exercises that requires running, jumping, side shuffling and quick movements. The resistance bands can also be adapted for upper body exercises but I think they are more practical for the lower body. Coach McQueen has taken this simple idea and developed a program for the lower body, core muscles and cardiovascular system that can enhance athletic skills for all sports. Most people have heard of Billy Blanks and his Tae Bo exercise system he created using martial arts, boxing and dance movements. During the 1990&#8242;s Billy distributed over 1.5 million sets of videos through his infomercials and created a martial arts exercise phenomenon. In Billy Blanks PT 24/7 he attached resistant bands to gloves and feet a very unique and creative way. The resistance bands are attached to gloves and to your feet, so all movements have constant resistance making his normal Tae Bo movements more difficult. I think this is a great idea, attaching resistance bands to your hands and feet is great way to make your body work harder thereby burning more calories in a shorter period of time.</p>
